Happy Halloween-time, pumpkins! Tis the season of spooks, screams, and sips! Here at Eat. Drink. Work. Play. we have a particular soft spot for it all. In fact, I got so carried away that I decided to show the Twelve Days of Christmas who’s boss!
Allow me to introduce you to: The 13 Days of Halloween. It’s nearly two weeks of terrifyingly tasty Halloween cocktails for All Hallows’ Eve and beyond. Today, we’ll be featuring four of my fearsome faves: Witch’s Brew, The Goblet of Fire, Devil’s Brew and The Great Pumpkin Punch.
Grab your cauldrons and your favorite cocktail shakers. We are about have ourselves one sinister season of soirees!
Witches Brew

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon lime gelatin powder
- 2 tablespoons hot water
- 3 ounces pineapple juice
- 2 ounces chilled vodka
- splash lemon lime flavored soda or ginger ale
Instructions
- Combine the jello and hot water and stir until dissolved.
- Combine the liquid jello, pineapple juice and vodka into a shaker with ice and shake away!
- Dirty pour into a clear glass and top with more ice and bubbles.

- Cocktail Shaker
Ingredients
- 1.5 ounce Resposado Tequila
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary for garnish
- 2 bar spoons Pumpkin Puree
- 2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
- 3-4 shakes cinnamon
- 3 dashes Black Walnut Bitters
- splash Grapefruit Club Soda
- Black sugar for glass rim
Instructions
- Rim glass with black sugar.
- Combine all ingredients that don't bubble into a shaker with ice. Shake to combine the ingredients and bruise the rosemary.
- Dirty pour into your glass of choice rimmed with black sugar.
- Add extra ice and grapefruit infused club soda. Garnish with rosemary sprig.
Spicy Devil’s Brew
Spicy Devil’s Brew
Equipment
- Cocktail Shaker
Ingredients
- 1 wedge fresh lime
- 2 slices jalapenos, seeds removed
- 2 ounces blanco tequila
- .50 ounce Grand Marnier
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
- .50 agave nectar
- 2 drops red food coloring
- Tajin (or chili salt) for glass rim
- 2 small red peppers, cut for the garnish, per photo
Instructions
- Rim glass with Tajin.
- Combine all ingredients (except for Tajin and red peppers) in cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until code.
- Strain into your rimmed glass. Add ice.
- Cut diagonal lines into your peppers and stick them onto the glass rim like horns.
