Today was one of those days! After a week of near constant rain in Southern California, the sun was warm and bright, the air smelled crisp and fresh and the hills were painted green with growth. After a productive day of exercise, writing and organizing, it’s time for a reward — a Spring cocktail!
Today is Earth Day. For each of us, it has an individual meaning. It can be a remembrance of travel where the seas and air were crystal clear, where the animals roamed free, and there was nary a person near. It can be a reminder to be more environmentally conscious in our daily routine. It can be a personal call to escape your home for a bit of time and exercise in nature. It can be many things to each of us.
I was Zooming with a colleague from work recently-because frankly, I just wanted to see another live face. We were talking about conference call etiquette because it seems that’s a thing now—or at least it should be. Only weeks ago, when we were all in the office, it wasn’t all that common to turn on a camera for conference calls. Now that we’re all remote, and clamoring for human interaction, the computer camera is putting us in a starring role. And not to fault anyone, it’s not always an award-winning picture.
